China'S Major Mineral Reserves Have Increased Steadily, And Mining Continues To Open Up To Build A New Pattern.

Time:2018-10-31

At present, China has found 173 kinds of minerals, and the main mineral reserves have maintained steady growth. At the same time, we will continue to promote the transformation of mining environmental protection and decentralization of power, and build a new pattern of open development.

This was learned by the reporter at the 2018 (20th) China International Mining Conference held in Tianjin on the 18th.

In recent years, China's mineral resources reserves have maintained steady growth, and emerging energy has sprung up. According to the China Mineral Resources Report (2018) issued by the Ministry of Natural Resources, as of the end of 2017, 173 minerals have been discovered, and the amount of natural gas hydrate resources in China's seas is estimated to be about 80 billion tons of oil equivalent. As of the end of April this year, the accumulated proven geological reserves of shale gas have exceeded one trillion cubic meters.

At the same time, important minerals such as coal, oil, natural gas, shale gas, and gold mines have seen an increase in resource reserves. We investigated 3 new gold mines with more than 5 billion tons of coal fields and more than 100 tons of gold mines, 2 oil fields with more than 100 million tons of geological reserves, and 3 natural gas fields with more than 50 billion cubic meters.

Since the 40th anniversary of reform and opening up, the mining industry has continued to integrate into the international family. Deputy Director of The Ministry of Natural Resources, Ling Yueming said that with the sustained and rapid development of the national economy, China has become one of the most important sales markets for global mineral products.

It is understood that the conference was hosted by the China Mining Association and supported and guided by the Ministry of Natural Resources and Tianjin. With the theme of “open new pattern and new cooperation model”, the conference organized summit forums, international mining exhibitions and series of special events, attracting more than 10,000 delegates from 69 countries and regions around the world.
