Recently, the Ministry of Natural Resources released the “National Green Mine Construction Code” (hereinafter referred to as the “Code”) for the nine major industries of the mining industry. The "Code" will be implemented on October 1 this year.
It is understood that the green mine construction specifications issued this time mainly from the six aspects of mining environment, resource development methods, comprehensive utilization of resources, energy conservation and emission reduction, technological innovation and digital mining, enterprise management and corporate image, according to the characteristics of various industries to make corresponding requirements. This is the first national green mine construction industry standard released globally, which indicates that China's green mine construction has entered a new stage of " having law to follow".
The drafter of the "Code for the Construction of Green Mines in the Coal Industry" and the Secretary-General of the Zhongguancun Green Mines Union, Wang Liang said that the "Code " is a systematic standard for mine construction. It is based on foreign experience and summed up the pilot situation of 661 green mines, and fills the blank of national and international industry standards for green mines at home and abroad.
The "Code" takes the circular economy as the entry point to achieve sustainable development. It is clearly stated that " in accordance with the principles of reduction, reuse, and resource utilization, comprehensive development and utilization of shared resources, scientific use of solid waste, wastewater, etc."
Wang Liang said that the realization of the circular economy of the mine has also achieved the sustainable development of mining enterprises.
The "Code" fully considers the factors such as the harmonious mining, clean production, comprehensive utilization of resources, discharge of wastes and other standards, reflecting the construction of green mines is the social responsibility of mining enterprises.
Green mine construction is a risk-free avenue for enterprise transformation and upgrading. Wang Liang explained that traditional mine development focuses on how to separate resources from the ore body, and the construction of green mines is resource efficient, economical development and utilization, environmental protection, and governance.
Wang Liang said, the construction of green mines has transformed mining enterprises from a single mining mode into a diversified and comprehensive industrial chain for resource development and utilization. It has strong anti-risk capability and is an important way for mining enterprises to transform and upgrade their industries.
