Causes And Troubleshooting Of Black Smoke Emit From Diesel Engine Crane

Time:2020-04-26

When the color of the exhaust gas emitted by the diesel engine crane is black, it indicates that the diesel has not been completely burned. It includes continuous black smoke emission and intermittent black smoke emission. So what are the main reasons for the black smoke emitted by the diesel engine crane? The following are the three points summarized by Shandong China Coal Group and the troubleshooting methods.

First. The compression pressure of hydraulic small crane cylinder is low

1. The compression ratio of agricultural small diesel engine crane is adjusted to be too small during assembly, so the compression force of the assembled diesel engine is often lower than 25MPA, and the phenomenon of black smoke in the exhaust gas will also occur.

2. Air leakage between cylinder head and cylinder liner of Jining diesel engine crane is not compressed when the fuel injector is installed.

3. The abrasion of piston, piston ring and cylinder liner of the small diesel engine crane exceeds the limit, which makes the compressed air in the cylinder leak into the crankcase and reduces the compression pressure of the cylinder.

4. When assembling the piston ring of the small diesel engine crane, the openings of the ring openings are not staggered from each other, or the piston ring is broken, stuck in the ring groove, etc., causing cylinder air leakage.

5. Often due to valve stem bending, spring breakage, valve seat ring loose and fall off, causing air leakage in the cylinder.

6. Due to the excessive adjustment of the valve clearance or the excessive wear of the valve bridge, etc., the valve opening is not enough, affecting the fresh air into the cylinder or the exhaust gas in the cylinder.

7. The temperature of the oil and water of the small diesel engine crane is too low, so that the gap between the cylinder liner and the piston is too large, causing air leakage.

The low compression force of the cylinder causes the black smoke to be emitted mainly because the mixture of diesel and air is not fully combusted in the combustion chamber of the diesel engine due to the low compression pressure. For this reason, the common faults that cause black smoke should be eliminated one by one, such as eliminating the tight valve closing, adjusting the valve gap, adjusting the injection pressure and atomization of the injector, replacing the piston ring or adjusting the relative position between the openings 3. Replace the worn cylinder liner to eliminate cylinder leakage.

Second, the impact of small diesel engine crane air intake system

1. The air filter is severely blocked, causing fresh air to enter the cylinder inadequately. The air cleaner filter element or the filter element should be replaced in time.

2. There is serious leakage into the airway, especially when the hose connecting the compressor outlet to the intercooler inlet ruptures or the speed of the turbocharger drops significantly. In order to eliminate such failures, the takeover seal (ring) and the damaged takeover should be replaced to ensure the sealing of the intake duct.

3. The cooling efficiency of the intercooler is low, which affects the air quality entering the cylinder. The reason may be that the intercooler is blocked. Dismantle and inspect the intercooler, use compressed air to find the cause of the blockage and eliminate it. After installation, pay attention to make the pipeline and pipe joints sealed without air leakage.

Three. The influence of the hydraulic system of the hydraulic crane

1. The fuel with a high cetane number is used. This fuel has poor stability and a high carbon formation rate during the combustion process, resulting in black smoke in the exhaust. In this case, discharge the diesel in the fuel tank, clean the fuel tank, all the oil pipelines and the diesel filter, and then add qualified diesel.

2. Poor atomization of the fuel injector the fuel entering the cylinder cannot be fully burned, resulting in poor combustion and black smoke in the exhaust.

3. The fuel injection advance angle is too small. The ignition preparation time after the fuel injected into the cylinder is mixed with the air is too short, resulting in insufficient combustion and black smoke. Adjust the injection advance angle to the correct value.
