What inspection should be done before crane operation

Time:2020-02-21

Before the formal lifting operation, we should conduct an inspection of the crane's various technical conditions. After the inspection, the crane driver can enter the cab for lifting operation.

General operating essentials and precautions during the trial operation

1. Lift the boom upward and operate each working mechanism at low speed. If the idle time should be extended in winter, the hydraulic oil temperature should be above 300℃ before starting operation.

2. If the crane is equipped with electronic torque limiter or safety load indicator, its functions should be checked.

3. If the crane is equipped with an accumulator, check whether the pressure gauge indication meets the requirements and check whether the function is normal with the clutch control lever.

4. Check the status of counterweight (the counterweight is installed on the large and medium cranes). Special attention should be paid to the fact that non-conforming counterweight states cannot be controlled even with electronic torque restraints.

5. Observe whether the instrument and indicator light of each part are displayed normally, and whether the control handle (lever) is placed in the proper position for operation. If the position is improper, it should be adjusted in place before operation, and whether the electrical switch is selected in the correct position. For hydraulic crane to check pressure gauge, electric crane to check whether the voltmeter indicator is normal.

6. Smooth control of winch, amplitude variation, boom expansion and slewing mechanism, and try to step on the brake pedal, if the function of each part is normal, the lifting operation can be carried out.

7. Confirm whether there is enough operating space. A crane to carry out hoisting operations, in order to safety and improve work efficiency, and to accurately send the lifting objects to the place where they should be placed, must ensure that the crane has a certain operating space, and leave a certain margin. In order to ensure the crane lifting, landing, turning, luffing and object transport clearance.
