Notes on hydraulic oil in crane maintenance

Master the correct hydraulic oil replacement method

First, replace the hydraulic oil in the hydraulic tank. The oil tank and filter can be cleaned with a chemical cleaner with solid particle pollution not exceeding 18/15; After drying, rinse with new hydraulic oil with solid particle contamination not exceeding 18/15; After washing, add new hydraulic oil. Secondly, start the engine to operate at a low speed, so that the oil pump starts to operate and operate each mechanism separately. The old oil in the system loop will be gradually discharged by the new hydraulic oil. The discharged old oil shall not flow into the hydraulic oil tank until there is new oil flowing out of the oil pipe outlet before stopping the hydraulic pump rotation. At the same time of changing oil in each circuit, it should pay attention to constantly add new oil to the tank to prevent the pump from emptying. Finally, connect the main return tubing to the oil tank, place each component in the initial state of operation, and replenish the oil tank to the specified oil level.

Prevent contamination of hydraulic oil

Hydraulic system failure is mostly related to oil pollution, so attention should be paid to the following problems

1. During the maintenance and repair of the hydraulic system, the pipe orifters of the parts and assemblies shall be immediately covered with a dust shield to prevent the entrance of impurities such as silt and dust.

2. Parts such as pipes and valves must be thoroughly cleaned and rinsed before installation, and then blown clean with compressed air.

3. After the installation of the hydraulic system assembly and component assembly is completed, empty cycle washing shall be carried out, which shall be installed and sealed immediately after the completion of washing.

4. Piston rod seals in the hydraulic system can cause serious pollution after wear, and should be replaced in time.

5. When replacing or adding liquid transmission oil, all tools and containers must be cleaned first.

6. Check the filter function on time, and replace the filter element according to the operating environment.

7. Change the oil regularly. The filter can only remove the mechanical impurities in the hydraulic oil, but the soluble impurities cannot be removed, so the content can only be controlled by oil. In addition, the hydraulic oil in the long-term temperature, pressure, oxidation and other repeated changes will also gradually deteriorate, the loss of due performance, can only take regular oil change method.
